We have all received a measure of faith but there is also a special gift given to some for performing supernatural signs, wonders and miracles. George Mueller comes to mind, an ex-alcoholic from Germany who opened orphanages in England for the many orphans roaming the streets!
George began as a pastor and made a vow to God that he would not ask men to give but he would trust God for all his needs. On his first endeavor he rented a building, prayed in the linens, the bedding, silverware, the staff and all the furnishings. On opening day George expected the home to fill up but no one showed. Disillusioned, George cried out to the Lord asking why there were no orphans and the Lord said to him, "You didn't pray for orphans!"
George repented and prayed and the next day the home was filled, and the work of faith began! I encourage you to read his biography because there are many miraculous things that occurred as the orphanages grew until there were 2000 children and George was still operating on faith! One such miracle was when the orphans sat down to eat one day and there was no food and George prayed and the milkman, the breadman and butcher all started showing up and the orphans ate!
"For assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there, 'and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.' " Matthew 17:20
