Mary, Martha, and Lazarus were good friends with Jesus and He loved them and when Lazarus became sick Jesus was called but stayed two more days before He came to them. By the time He got there Lazarus had died.
Although Jesus knew Lazarus would be raised from the dead, He wept for him and went to the tomb where he was laid. As the friends and disciples looked on thinking to themselves what is Jesus going to do, He then cried out, "Lazarus, come forth!" Lazarus came out of the tomb wrapped in grave clothes and Jesus said to those watching to loose him and let him go!
Signs, wonders, and miracles are all for the glory of God to open our eyes and enhance our faith! Jesus told us that when He died that we as His disciples would do greater works than He because He has gone to the Father to ever make intersession for us!
Jesus said that Lazarus' sickness was not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified through it. John 11:4
