The world is fueled by the lust for things, wealth, and pleasures, but we are not of this world we are members of a heavenly kingdom, a spiritual realm in which we live and breathe and have our being in the Spirit.
Our lives are not dominated by fear, doubt, worry, anxiety, and unbelief, we belong to the King of all kings, and He provides all of our needs. We don't follow the world or the things of the world because we are led by the Holy Spirit. For those who follow Jesus and walk in the Spirit we can expect persecution and opposition for our lifestyle and our dedication to the Lord.
As believers we have a heavenly bank account protected from rust and thieves and thousands of promises to claim for our lives, our health, and our needs. We are more than conquerors and we are blessed with all spiritual blessings as we seek God's kingdom.
Do not love the world or the things of the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life is not of the Father but is of the world. I John 2:15,16
