"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God." Romans 12:1-2

The discussion in our men's group ended up with the question about God's will for us, and there were about a dozen comments. Throughout my journey, I have had many questions asked by people about His will for us, and I will share my opinion on the subject.
First of all, I believe that His word is His will, and the subject that pops up the most is: "Is it God's will to heal us?" I believe it is His will because over and over, He states it in His word. The problem is that there are hundreds of questions trying to disprove it!
The reality of this message is that Jesus died on the cross and the stripes on His back healed all of our diseases, past, present, and future. Every sickness and every disease have been healed by His sacrificial death, burial, and resurrection!
Bless the Lord, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name! Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies, Who satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s. Psalm 103:1-5
HE FORGIVES ALL OUR INIQUITIES
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6
Many of the diseases that afflict mankind are caused by sin and iniquity (a premeditated decision to disobey God) and stop God's will to heal. They include generational sin and inherited diseases; these must be repented of so that God's healing power can proceed.
Jesus bled in seven specific places to forgive all sin and heal all disease, past, present, and future. If it were not true, He would have to die again! Today, we make excuses for why we are not healed, or why God doesn't heal anymore, or it's not God's will to heal! This is leaning on our own understanding. The reason someone doesn't get healed is that there is sin in his heart, or he doesn't believe.
Remember, He died once and healed all of our diseases; it is finished. If you are not healed, there is a reason. In my forty-five-year journey, I have prayed for hundreds of people; some were healed, and others were not! In many cases, I saw what was holding their healing back; some didn't believe, some wouldn't repent, and some were being judged to bring them to repentance!
"After this, Jesus, knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, said, 'I thirst!' Now a vessel full of sour wine was sitting there; and they filled a sponge with sour wine, put it on hyssop, and put it to His mouth. So, when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, 'It is finished!' And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit" (John 19:28-30 NKJV)
IT IS FINISHED
When he had received the drink, Jesus said, “It is finished.” With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit. John 19:30
The Greek word used is tetelestai, which means "completed" or "accomplished." By saying this, Jesus declared that His mission to provide atonement for humanity’s sins was fully accomplished. This statement signifies that the sacrificial system of the Old Testament, which required continual animal sacrifices, had been fulfilled in Him, and the debt of sin was paid in full once and for all.
Take the apostle Paul, who had an affliction thought to be in his eyes, and he asked the Lord to heal him, but He refused, and Paul said, “To keep me from becoming conceited (prideful), I was given a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me. Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’”
In John 5:5–9, the Gospel of John records the healing of a man who had been an invalid for thirty-eight years at the Pool of Bethesda in Jerusalem. The pool, called Bethesda in Hebrew, had five porches and was a place where many sick people waited for the water to be stirred by an angel, believing it would cure them.
Jesus saw him and asked, “Do you want to be made well?” (John 5:6). The man explained that no one put him in before others, so he never got healed (John 5:7). Jesus told him, “Rise, take up your bed and walk,” and immediately he was healed and walked (John 5:8–9).
Now, as Jesus passed by, He saw a man who was blind from birth. And His disciples asked Him, saying, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?” Jesus answered, “Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but that the works of God should be revealed in him. I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work. As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” When He had said these things, He spat on the ground and made clay with the saliva; and He anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay. And He said to him, “Go, wash in the pool of Siloam” (which is translated, Sent). So he went and washed and came back seeing.
There are many more reasons that people don't receive what God has already done for them. Because we don't know about the benefits of His covenant, we miss out on what He has done for us. It would be like someone who's relative left them a million dollars, but they never read the will, and the inheritance was never received, so it is with our Savior's covenant!
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children. Hosea 4:6
