As Stephen was being stoned a young man named Saul watched as another paradigm shift was taking place in that he would eventually be saved and take the gospel to the Gentiles!
Don't ever underestimate the power of God to change the circumstances of a people, place or thing! The new fledgling church was about to be scattered which was a good thing because they went everywhere and preached the gospel! It would do today's sleepy church good for persecution to scatter a few of us and spread the word!
This soon to be apostle would also perform signs, wonders and miracles in Jesus' name as he preached the gospel to the Gentiles. The miracles of Jesus would continue in a most unlikely subject, a Pharisee of Pharisees steeped in Jewish religion, doctrine and tradition!
Now Saul was consenting to his death. At that time a great persecution arose against the church which was at Jerusalem; and they were all scattered throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria, except the apostles. Acts 8:1
