Let your conduct be without covetousness, be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, "I will never leave you or forsake you." Hebrews 13:5

The word covet is defined as to yearn for possessions and the world promotes covetousness to sell their goods using media to fuel the lust within us! Red steel and rotten cotton as my mentor used to call those things we lust for, cars, clothes, jewelry, and such that catch our eyes and our heart!

Has God ever deserted you? I would bet not, it may have been some tough times, but He never left you, I know, I have been there, broke, busted, and disgusted but He always showed up and provided! He promised He would never leave us and always keeps His promise!

The scripture tells us to be content with what we have and to let our conduct be without covetousness, but to arrive there we must be patient, and diligent and strive to obtain peace as we trust God for our needs!

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication (making requests or appeals for help or mercy) with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6,7
