Blessed be the Lord my Rock, Who trains my hands for war, and my fingers for battle— My lovingkindness and my fortress, my high tower and my deliverer, my shield and the One in whom I take refuge, Who subdues my people under me. Psalm 144:1-2
Blessed be the Lord my Rock, Who trains my hands for war, and my fingers for battle— My lovingkindness and my fortress, my high tower and my deliverer, my shield and the One in whom I take refuge, Who subdues my people under me. Psalm 144:1-2
I received a call from a friend who asked me if I would train their pastor in deliverance. I said yes, but as of yet, they have not responded about when. I would bet the enemy has got in the midst of the pastor's training as he always does when anyone seeks to become strong in the Lord!
Over forty years ago, I sat under an old carpet cleaner who mentored me and trained me in spiritual warfare. Together, we cast out a multitude of demons, and I learned how they entered people. It wasn't long before Milt (Milt Green) began to have seminars that became very useful to those like me to learn deliverance. On the first day of the four-day seminars, there was always a war going on with pastors having emergencies, people getting sick, or having to leave for one reason or another.
One of the most important but often ignored is the pre-attack and the counterattack! I use the analogy of the kid standing before Peter in Heaven, and Peter looking at the books said to him, "Son, have you ever done anything good in your life?" The kid thought a minute and said, " Yes, I was driving past a biker bar, and a biker was beating up a young lady, so I jumped out of my SUV and hit him square in the jaw!" Peter said, "Praise God, when did that happen?" The kid responded, Oh, about five minutes ago!"
Therefore, humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world. I Peter 5:6-9
