If ministry (service), let us use it in our serving. Romans 12:7

Ministry covers a lot of ground as we are all called into the servanthood of the Lord. For 45 years, I have ministered in many different areas, such as residential ministry to drug addicts, hospitals, jails, prisons, and in the deliverance ministry!

We are all called to serve in our areas of influence, being the human expression of the Lord Jesus Christ on the earth. The misconception in today's churches is that the pastor does all the ministry, and we, the body, sit and listen; however, this couldn't be farther from the truth. The pastor doesn't have all the gifts, but we do, and we have a calling to use them.

The body of Christ who sit and listen without using their spiritual and motivational gifts will begin to shut down just as a person who is dying, their organs begin to shut down as they die! And so, many of the churches are mausoleums filled with the dead!

I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called, with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love, endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. Ephesians 4:1-6
