In the Old Testament the High Priest sprinkled the blood of a lamb that was sacrificed on the mercy seat seven times to cleanse the people of God. This is a type and shadow of what Jesus would do in the New Testament under a new covenant by becoming a perfect sacrifice for all mankind.
As a result of His suffering and giving His life for us on the cross He has become our High Priest, the Lamb of God who shed His blood in seven specific places to give us a perfect and complete deliverance from our sins, iniquities and transgressions. He has healed our sicknesses, infirmities and diseases.
The number seven is is the number of completion and we have become complete in Him, we have been washed in His blood and have become His spiritual body in the earth, ambassadors and representatives of His kingdom on the earth.
For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell, and by Him to reconcile all things on earth or things in Heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross. And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight. Colossians 1:19-22
