It is amazing to me that men work all of their lives to leave all they worked for to their son or daughter, which in many cases is a waste because they squander it. I did, and I know others who have. Another waste is leaving a legacy by putting your name on everything.
As the scripture states, "As he came from his mother's womb, naked shall he return to go as he came." I knew a man who prayed for me to be saved; he was a good man, but he strove to be rich and accumulated much. The man told me he was going to quit and go into ministry, but out walking one day with a friend, he dropped dead!
At the man's funeral, he had his Harley-Davidson next to his casket, with a spoon on his chest and a sign that said, "The best is yet to come!" Well, I would say he missed the best when he had the chance to serve the Lord, but now he's dead.
Just exactly as he came, so shall he go. And what profit has he who has labored for the wind? All his days he also eats in darkness, and he has much sorrow and sickness and anger. Ecclesiastes 5:16-17
