Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you, but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ's sufferings that when His glory is revealed you may also be glad with exceeding joy. I Peter 4:12,13
Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you, but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ's sufferings that when His glory is revealed you may also be glad with exceeding joy. I Peter 4:12,13
If you are born again, I guarantee you will have or have had a fiery trial in your life! Trials are tests to see how you handle adversity, whether you fold or you stand nonetheless the trial will build character even if you fail the test!
Those who came before us suffered these trials and left the results for us to be confident of our outcome of suffering! Job, David, Paul, Peter, and even Jesus all suffered trials and tests as examples for us! My trials began shortly after I was saved, being bankrupt, fallen, and later divorced and then restored only to endure a greater trial.
Sickness may be the worst trial, but many have to undergo the suffering of some disease or malady to strengthen their resolve and their faith in God to heal. My journey through sickness started ten years ago with bladder cancer, four surgeries, multiple scopes, and seven procedures of injecting tuberculosis into me to kill the cancer and have made me cancer-free! Praised God!
Yet if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God in this matter. I Peter 4:15
