A Psalm of Thanksgiving. Make a joyful shout to the Lord, all you lands! Serve the Lord with gladness; Come before His presence with singing. Know that the Lord, He is God; it is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; we are His people and the sheep of His pasture. Psalm 100:1-3

I feel like today the American church has lost that Lovin' Feeling! Maybe we are just tired of the vain repetition and the lack of the truth of God's word and works. I remember when I was first saved and joined the local Baptist church, maybe it was because I was a newborn babe in Christ, but there was joy and praise and thanksgiving! One day, as we were praising God, my hands began to rise, and I heard a gasp from the congregation because that had never happened!
I was the talk of their Christian school the next day as the kids were telling everyone that Mr. Laughlin raised his hands! LOL What a hoot! Praise God, now everyone began to praise God, at first, it was one hand and then both, to the glory of God! After that, the church began to experience freedom, and the Spirit was being spilled over from a revival in New Albany, Indiana, and we had over a hundred people baptized, including me, in the lake.
Baptism was held at one of the family's homes on the lake, where we had fellowship, and the whole congregation was standing on the shore, and I was about to be baptized when all of a sudden everyone's mouth dropped open, and I thought Jesus was returning as I was facing the shore! But lo and behold, the devil was taking his last shot at me as "Crazy Leroy," an old friend, was mooning the church from his boat! I think even God got a laugh out of that!
Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures to all generations. Psalm 100:4-5
