"These things I have spoken to you that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world." John 16:33
In Christ we have peace, but if we give our heart to the world and worldly systems, we will have tribulation. As believers we live in a heavenly kingdom and to us the natural world is passing away!
Our peace is "Shalom" meaning completeness, wholeness, health, peace, welfare, safety, soundness, prosperity, rest and harmony. Our lives are filled with the blessings of peace and provision, but we have to set our minds and heart on His kingdom and His word. If we were truly in a Spirit led, Spirit filled body of born-again believers all of our needs would be met, and we would experience Shalom!
We were never meant to walk alone in this world, but we are to be members of one another in the family of God! I am afraid the modern day "Mega Churches" are too big, and people get lost in them never experiencing the fellowship and communion of the body of Christ!
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace (Shalom) of God, which surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6,7
