A champion went out from the camp of the Philistines named Goliath from Gath whose height was six cubits and a span. I Samuel 17:4
Although there is some speculation about Goliath's height of nine foot nine, nevertheless he was a giant of a man, well trained from his youth and extremely well-armed! David came out against him with only a sling and the anointing of God!
Never underestimate your enemy as Goliath surely did seeing that David was just a kid with a sling. David was so confident in his victory over the giant that he chose five stones for his sling, one for Goliath and four for each of his brothers! When engaging our enemies our confidence is in our God and the battle is His!
Fear is the first attack from the enemies of God whether sickness or demons, fear will tend to flood your soul to make you back down and then they will overtake you! God's word says, "Fear not! Stand firm and resist the enemy's accusations, be strong and courageous for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go!" David let the stone fly and hit Goliath between the eyes, and he fell to the ground. He then took Goliath's sword and cut off his head and the enemies of Israel fled!
"Then all this assembly will know that the Lord does not save with sword and spear, for the battle is the Lord's, and He will give you into our hands." I Samuel 17:47
