Get wisdom! Get understanding! Do not forget, nor turn away from the words of my mouth. Do not forsake her, and she will preserve you; love her, and she will keep you. Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore, get wisdom. Proverbs 4:5-7
Get wisdom! Get understanding! Do not forget, nor turn away from the words of my mouth. Do not forsake her, and she will preserve you; love her, and she will keep you. Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore, get wisdom. Proverbs 4:5-7
It is said that Solomon had wisdom because he asked the Lord to give it to him before riches. I'm sure because God made him wise, he indeed was wise. But even though he was wise, he married over a thousand women; is that wise?
It is possible to be wise, but because you allow your flesh to lead you, you undermine your wisdom. Solomon allowed his flesh to lead him to marry 1000 women, and these women led him into pagan religion and occult worship. Also, I'm sure that with all these kids, there was major disruption among family members.
The word speaks of wisdom as a woman whom we are to love, honor, and embrace her, sounds like a wedding vow! We are to seek wisdom above all things. The beginning of wisdom is the fear of the Lord, which speaks of respect, honor, and devotion to our God!
And in all your getting, get understanding. Exalt her, and she will promote you; she will bring you honor when you embrace her. She will place on your head an ornament of grace; a crown of glory she will deliver to you.” Proverbs 4:7-9
