When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from Heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. Acts 2:1-3

The New Creation church was filled with Holy Spirit power. The promise had been kept, and the mighty wind of God had come. The New Man was alive in His human body of believers. Christ was to live again in His followers.
The first expression of Christ was to obey His command to make disciples as they went out into the streets. Onlookers were perplexed, and others mocked them, thinking they were drunk. Peter told them that the words of the prophet Joel were being fulfilled before their very eyes! As the church spoke in tongues the people from other lands heard them in their own language as Peter preached the gospel!
Imagine today's churches being filled with the power of God and seeing signs, wonders, and miracles with thousands being saved and delivered instead of just sitting in a pew listening to a talking head preaching about what could be and not what should be! We would turn the world upside down!
"Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a Man attested by God to you by miracles, and signs which God did through Him in your midst, as you yourself know. Him, being delivered by the determined purpose and foreknowledge of God, you have taken by lawless hands, have crucified, and put to death; whom God raised up, having loosed the pains of death because it was not possible that He should be held by it." Acts 2:22-24
