Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy let us prophesy in proportion to our faith. Romans 12:6

As we have been given a measure of faith let us use the gifts, we have been given to edify the body and to exercise what God has given to us. The body of Christ has been given seven motivational gifts that empower us to serve God and meet the needs of others.

Sadly, many who fill today's churches sit idly by in their pew never exercising their gifts and for many more never knowing what their gift is. Prophecy is an important asset to the body of Christ speaking the word and revelation of God, bringing wisdom, knowledge, and understanding.

Prophecy has many facets in revealing God's will to His body and like a rudder on a ship it gives direction and clarity to navigate the seas of life! Not only a motivational gift, Prophecy is also a spiritual gift, judged by other prophets to speak to the body.

A prophet named Agabus stood up and showed by the Spirit that there was to be a great famine throughout all the world, which also happened in the days of Claudius Ceasar. Acts 11:28
