"Moreover, you shall select from all the people, able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness, and place such over them to be rulers of thousands, rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens. "And let them judge the people at all times." Exodus 18:21,22

Moses' father-in-law, Jethro heard what God had done for Israel and he gave Moses wise counsel concerning the judging of His people. Instead of judging the multitudes from morning until evening he advised him to select teams of faithful men to counsel and judge so that Moses didn't wear himself out.

This wisdom is also for the church today in which the apostle Paul instructed the Ephesians and Timothy to allow members of the body of Christ to minister to those in need so that pastors don't wear themselves out and become idols on a pedestal as many of them have! Thousands of pastors and ministers burn out each month and leave the ministry because we have not followed Paul's instructions. (II Timothy 2:2)

Contrary to popular belief pastors are not the CEOs of the church, nor are they the founders as the apostle Paul instructs in the New Testament. This is why there is no life because the body is not free to exercise their spiritual gift and minister in the body as they have been called. We have not observed the "Divine Design" of the supernatural church of Jesus Christ!

And He (Jesus) gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints (us) for the work of ministry for the edifying (the building up of the faith) of the body of Christ. Ephesians 4:11,12
