“Hell from beneath is excited about you, to meet you at your coming; it stirs up the dead for you, all the chief ones of the earth; it has raised up from their thrones all the kings of the nations. Isaiah 14:9
“Hell from beneath is excited about you, to meet you at your coming; it stirs up the dead for you, all the chief ones of the earth; it has raised up from their thrones all the kings of the nations. Isaiah 14:9
Lucifer, God's own son, allowed pride to conquer him, and it began a war in Heaven in which Michael the archangel and his angels threw this disobedient devil out of Heaven! With a new name, Satan, and a new game, the devil came to the garden of God to destroy His new creations!
Pride has defeated many a man and woman, allowing them to think that they are better than anyone, even the Most High God! Although Satan has reigned for thousands of years on the earth, wreaking havoc among men, his eternal consequence for his sin is the Lake of Fire!
Obviously, humility is the opposite of pride, and believers must stay humble before God. People who are prideful and arrogant, always boasting of their accomplishments or their possessions, are sons and daughters of Satan!
“How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground, you who weakened the nations! For you have said in your heart: ‘I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will also sit on the mount of the congregation on the farthest sides of the north; I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High.’ Yet you shall be brought down to Sheol, to the lowest depths of the pit. Isaiah 14:12-15
