Cursed is the ground for your sake; in toil you shall eat of it all the days of your life, both thorns and thistles it shall bring forth for you. Genesis 3:17,18
When Adam sinned, God cursed his livelihood, and he was expelled from the garden to fend for himself. The blood from the crown of thorns reversed the curse and broke the power of poverty, lack and debt that has held us captive.
Jesus is our healer, our deliverer and our provider and before the fall He also provided all of Adam's needs until he and Eve ate of the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Now the fruit of their ground would only yield thorns and thistles! Naked and afraid, broke, busted and on their own, their sin was to travel onward down the bloodline of mankind forever!
The Roman soldiers were an evil brood unaware they were mocking the King of all kings by crowning Him King of the Jews! As the thorns pierced His scalp the blood He shed was to break the generational curse of poverty, lack and debt forever for those who would proclaim it!
And they stripped Him and put a scarlet robe on Him. When they had twisted a crown of thorns they put it on His head, and a reed in His right hand. And they bowed the knee before Him and mocked Him, saying, "Hail, King of the Jews!" Matthew 27:28,29
