We are all born in sin inherited from our ancestors all the way back to the garden where Adam and Eve disobeyed God! Breaking the generational curse of sin is important for one to be truly set free from its bondage.
The curse comes down the bloodline and by the blood of Jesus it can be broken! When Jesus was beaten, He was bruised for our iniquities meaning He bled inside His body for the sins of man. Medical science has proved that many diseases are hereditary, in other words we contract many of our sicknesses and infirmities from our ancestors.
This is why we must be saved, to receive the blood of the Lord Jesus to cleanse us from our ancestral iniquities! Iniquity means immoral or grossly unfair behavior or a wicked lifestyle and for us to be delivered we must break this generational curse by confession and repentance!
Jesus was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised (bled inside His body) for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed. Isaiah 53:5
