But you O Lord are a shield for (around) me, my glory and the One who lifts up my head. I cried to the Lord with my voice, and He heard me from His holy hill. Psalm 3:3,4

When David's own son, Absalom chased him out of his own city, David gave glory to God for His protection by being his shield which was all around him.
Because of David's great sin everyone turned against him, even his own children but God continued to protect and forgive him. When we are under assault and everyone turns against us, we should praise God, cry out to Him and give Him glory because He loves us!
In these last days we see the world turn against us and all who believe in Jesus, but remember He said it would be so, but He is our shield and the lifter of our head! Give Him praise and glory for His protection!
I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people who have set themselves against me all around. Psalm 3:6
