"And you shall make holy garments for Aaron your brother, for glory and for beauty. "So you shall speak to all who are gifted artisans, whom I have filled with the spirit of wisdom, that they may make Aaron's garments, to consecrate him, that he may minister to Me as priest." Exodus 28:2,3
Aaron's priestly garments represent our robe of righteousness received by grace when we are washed in the blood of Christ. A type and shadow of our priestly garments that allow us access to minister to God.
In Zechariah 3:1-5 Joshua the high priest is standing before the Angel of the Lord, and Satan is standing at his right hand to oppose him. It says that Joshua was clothed with filthy garments that represent sin and God said, "Take away the filthy garments from him and clothe him with rich robes!" He also said to put a clean turban on his head representing the mind of Christ and the helmet of salvation.
We who have been born again have all been washed in the blood of the Lamb and we have been clothed with heavenly garments and our names are in the book of life! Are you clothed from on high, are you washed in the blood, or are you still clothed in the filthy garments of iniquity?
Then the Angel of the Lord admonished Joshua, saying, "Thus says the Lord of hosts: 'If you will walk in My ways, and if you will keep My command, then you shall also judge My house, and likewise have charge of My courts, I will give you places to walk among those who stand here.' " Zechariah 3:6,7
