The above-mentioned scripture illustrates correctly the different definitions of Christ's family. The Church is called His Bride and His Body describing who we are in Christ. The definition of church in Greek is Ecclesia, meaning, an assembly of citizens in a city or state.
In the New Testament Ecclesia is the term for "church," it can represent the body of Christ worldwide, over which the Lord functions as Head; God's people in a given region; a local congregation of Christians; or a group of Christians meeting in a house. In this teaching, we will see the revelation the Holy Spirit is giving us of all the facets of His church!
We will look at the Bride of Christ first and see what she is like and what she is gifted in the things she pleases her Husband with. Her love, her duties, and her service to her spouse to whom she has given her entire heart.
That He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish. Ephesians 5:27
