I will love You, O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer. My God, my strength, in whom I will trust, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised; so, shall I be saved from my enemies. The pangs of death surrounded me, and the floods of ungodliness made me afraid. The sorrows of Sheol surrounded me; the snares of death confronted me. Psalm 18:1-5

David spoke to the Lord the words of this song on the day the Lord delivered him from all his enemies and from the hand of Saul. Though his battles seemed endless, and the odds always against him, the Lord came in power and glory to deliver him, a man after God's own heart!

As we walk through this journey of life, our battles also seem endless, fighting sickness, relationships, and finances, to name a few. It seems every day, another enemy comes against us. The devil tells us we are alone, no one cares, God isn't around, and we are doomed to face our circumstances by ourselves, but that is a lie!

God does care, and He fights for us when we call upon His mighty name, just as He did for David, His beloved. We are made to think that the battle is ours, but it is His, and the victory belongs to Him! Praise God for His healing and delivering power!

In my distress, I called upon the Lord and cried out to my God. He heard my voice from His temple, and my cry came before Him, even to His ears. Psalm 18:6
