"But it shall come to pass, if you do not obey the Lord your God to observe carefully all His commandments and His statutes which I command you today, that all these curses will come upon you and overtake you." Deuteronomy 28:15

As God has promised you good for your obedience, He has also promised bad for those who disobey Him! There are many who have deserted Him and disobeyed His word and the curses have followed them to the grave!

Samson, more than likely the strongest man that ever lived was born to defeat the enemies of God but although he had great strength given by God His character was grossly underdeveloped! Samson defiled himself and his family, hung out with the enemy and fell in love with a Gentile woman! He was finally trapped by an evil woman named Delilah who pressed him daily to find the secret of his great strength.

Because of his lust and rebellion Samson chose a path that would ultimately lead to his demise. In the lap of the enemy his arrogance in the face of a deadly adversary brought him down. He told Delilah that if his hair was cut, he would lose his strength and then he fell asleep. The Philistines were alerted and they rushed in, shaved his head, gouged out his eyes and bound him with bronze chains to grind grain as a slave! In the end he was chained to the pillars in their coliseum to make sport of him and with one last act of brute strength he pulled down the entire building killing his enemies and himself in what was a sin unto death!

"The Lord will send on you cursing, confusion, and rebuke in all that you set your hand to do until you are destroyed and until you perish quickly, because of the wickedness of your doings in which you have forsaken Me." Deuteronomy 28:20
