Blow the trumpet in Zion and sound an alarm in My holy mountain! Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble; for the "Day of the Lord" is coming, for it is at hand. Joel 2:1
Contrary to popular belief, the song, "Blow the trumpet in Zion" is not talking about God's people, it speaks of God's army, the powers of darkness! Although many will argue this point, it's true, the demons are God's army of destruction!
Joel 2:2-11 explains it, a fire devours before them, the land is like the Garden of Eden before them and behind them a desolate wilderness, before them the people writhe in pain, all faces are drained of color, they climb into the houses, they enter at the windows (the eyes are the windows of the soul) like a thief, the earth quakes before them, the heavens tremble, the sun and moon grow dark, the stars diminish their brightness. Sound like believers or devils?
Remember when Satan demanded to destroy Job and God told him exactly what he could and could not do? God is the Commander of the host, His instruments of destruction! With these demonic hordes God will bring about "The Day of the Lord!"
The Lord gives voice before His army, for His camp is very great. For strong is the One who executes His word. For the day of the Lord is great and very terrible, who can endure it? Joel 2:11
