The horse is prepared for the day of battle. But deliverance is of the Lord. Proverbs 21:31

One of the most incredible aspects of Gideon’s journey is God’s unique strategy for defeating the Midianites. Instead of amassing a large army, God told Gideon to reduce the number of soldiers to merely 300. This teaches us that God often works in unexpected ways and that His plans may not align with our traditional expectations.

Through Gideon, we see that faith, obedience, and reliance on God are key components of victory, even when the situation looks impossible. God always demands glory, never allowing man to think he is the victor of his own doing! This is why God reduced Gideon's army so that he wouldn't think that the battle was won in his own power.

God is our ever-present help in times of need, and it is He who fights for us that always leads us to victory! Never trust in your own strength, for when we are weak, then He makes us strong! May God have the glory, honor, and power over our enemies!

Give us help against the adversary, for deliverance by man is in vain. Psalm 108:12

by Timothy Laughlin Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast (firm, immovable and faithful) spirit within me. Do not cast me away from Your presence, and do not take Your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of Your salvation and uphold me by Your generous Spirit. Then I will teach transgressors Your ways, and sinners shall be converted to You. Psalm 51:10-13 Is it really possible to have a pure and clean heart, even when you have committed adultery and murder? The answer is a resounding, yes! Through confession, acknowledgment, and repentance, God will wash your sins away and remove them from as far as the east is from the west! He will renew your relationship with Him and restore your faith and joy in your salvation. Fear, doubt, and unbelief will leave, and peace will cover your spirit, soul, and body. The hole in your heart will be closed and filled with Holy Spirit presence! His powerful anointing will return, and sinners will be saved! David repented of his sins, and God forgave him and set him free from his transgressions and iniquities. Although God forgives us, we must remember that the consequences of our sins continue to follow us even though we repent. David suffered greatly during the rest of his life. Deliver me from the guilt of bloodshed, O God, the God of my salvation, and my tongue shall sing aloud of Your righteousness. O Lord, open my lips, and my mouth shall show forth Your praise. For You do not desire sacrifice, or else I would give it; You do not delight in burnt offering. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, a broken and a contrite heart— These, O God, you will not despise.
