To another prophecy. I Corinthians 12:10
Prophecy has many facets, and the body must prophesy so that everyone is edified! Prophecy is also for exhortation and direction, like the rudder on a ship God speaks to His prophets leading them by Divine guidance.
We don't hear much about prophets in these modern times, but they are necessary for the body to be healthy. Samuel was a great prophet of the Old Testament who by the word of the Lord anointed Saul king over Israel but when he disobeyed God's command, he tore the kingdom out of his hand and anointed David in his place.
The apostle Paul instructed the church at Corinth in the correct way to prophesy in the assembly. He told them to let three prophets speak and let the others judge and the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets.
If anyone thinks himself to be a prophet or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things which I write to you are the commandments of the Lord. I Corinthians 14:37
