There are many rich people in the world, but not many of them know and serve the Lord. There is nothing wrong with being rich as long as your money doesn't have your heart!
Take the rich young ruler, for example, he inherited great wealth from his father, but when he came to Jesus and asked him what he must do to inherit eternal life, He answered and told him what he must do.
Jesus told him, "Keep the commandments." The lad said he had, that's funny, no one but Christ has! When Jesus heard this, he said to him, “You still lack one thing. Sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”
When he heard this, he became very sad, because he was very wealthy. Luke 18:23
