Everyone is born with a gift from God, whether lost or saved: musicians, actors, mechanics, plumbers, etc. It is only when that gift is given back to God and submitted to Him that His anointing comes upon it. I was a salesman and now a preacher; it is similar but different in that now my gift is used not to sell but to testify of the glory of God!
I have seen so much talent in musicians and singers, God-given gifts, but so much of their talent is wasted, never given back to God. Think of all the great songwriters, singers, and your favorite bands; take the Beatles, for instance. Four boys who had what seemed to be Divine ability with music, never matched by anyone, but now, after making millions, two are dead, and two are alive but never giving their gift to God!
What is your gift? Have you been born again? If so, have you given your gift back to the Giver? If not, ask God to anoint what He has given you and use it for His glory. He will bless you and give you joy unspeakable and open doors you could never imagine. Praise His Name!
I know that nothing is better for them than to rejoice, and to do good in their lives, and also that every man should eat and drink and enjoy the good of all his labor—it is the gift of God. Ecclesiastes 3:12-13
