Now God worked unusual miracles by the hands of Paul, that even handkerchiefs or aprons were brought from his body to the sick, and the diseases left them, and the evil spirits went out of them. Then some of the itinerant Jewish exorcists took it upon themselves to call the name of the Lord Jesus over those who had evil spirits, saying, “We exorcise you by the Jesus whom Paul preaches.” Acts 19:11-13

Casting out demons is not something to take likely, it can be extremely dangerous for a novice or a lost person. The Jewish "Exorcists" were not believers and took it upon themselves to cast out demons by the Jesus that Paul preached, but to no avail!

The demon they were trying to cast out leaped on them, overpowered them, ripped off their clothes, and chased them out of the house naked and wounded! The first demon-possessed man I attempted to cast out was on all fours like an angry beast, and when I approached him, he leaped at me but fell at my feet. I had the authority of the Lord Jesus Christ!

This became known to all the Jews and Greeks living in Ephesus, and fear fell upon them all, and the name of Jesus was magnified, and many who had believed came confessing and telling their deeds.

Also, many of those who had practiced magic brought their books together and burned them in the sight of all. And they counted up the value of them, and it totaled fifty thousand pieces of silver. So, the word of the Lord grew mightily and prevailed. Acts 19:19
