Thus says the Lord to you, "Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude for the battle is not yours, but God's." II Chronicles 20:15
The enemies of God, Moab and Ammon and others were coming against Israel to defeat them and throw them out of their land, so Jehoshaphat cried out to God reminding Him of His promises and proclaimed a fast to seek the Lord.
When you are facing a great battle with your enemies or sickness or whatever is coming against you, do this, "Commit this battle to God, remind Him of His promise to protect and fight for you, fast and seek the Lord for His answer and stand firm in the faith!" God is faithful and will fight for you and your enemies will be defeated before your very eyes!
Jehoshaphat led Israel to the battle but when they arrived God had their enemies kill one another and no one escaped, and Israel was spared because their God fought for them! "Praise the Lord for His mercy endures forever."
"You will not need to fight this battle. Position yourselves, stand still and see the salvation of the Lord, who is with you. Do not fear or be dismayed (disheartened) for the Lord is with you." II Chronicles 20:17
