My son, if you receive My words, and treasure My commands within you, so that you incline your ear to wisdom, and apply your heart to understanding; yes, if you cry out for discernment, and lift up your voice for understanding, if you seek her as silver, and search for her as for hidden treasures; then you will understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God. For the Lord gives wisdom; from His mouth comes knowledge and understanding; He stores up sound wisdom for the upright; He is a shield to those who walk uprightly; He guards the paths of justice and preserves the way of His saints. Proverbs 2:1-8

True wisdom and knowledge come from God, not from the chatter of the world and its experts and those who claim they know everything and yet, for the most part, they know nothing! God shows us great and marvelous things for us to ponder and meditate on His marvels.
Our heart's cry should be, "Open the eyes of our understanding," That we might discern Your word for us. Eyes to see and ears to hear the Holy Spirit's voice. Our ability to listen and understand is more than just idle talk; it is the very voice of God! For us to hear, we must drown out the noise of the world being poured out through TV, radio, and the Internet!
God's word is a Holy Spirit GPS, given to discern the paths of life! There are many detours along the journey, demonic distractions, traps, and snares! Beware, the devil is a hunter of souls, always looking to trip us up!
Then you will understand righteousness and justice, equity and every good path. When wisdom enters your heart, and knowledge is pleasant to your soul, discretion will preserve you; understanding will keep you, to deliver you from the way of evil, from the man who speaks perverse things, from those who leave the paths of uprightness, to walk in the ways of darkness. Proverbs 2:9-13
