Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, even the Most High, your dwelling place, no evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling; for He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways. Psalm 91:9,11
Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, even the Most High, your dwelling place, no evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling; for He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways. Psalm 91:9,11
Our dwelling place is in Him and He in us, in other words we live in Christ and Christ lives in us! If we are born again, we dwell in the Lord Jesus Christ which is a mystery to those who are lost, but to us who are saved it is a revelation of God's Spirit!
The promise is if we dwell in Him, we are protected from evil, and plagues and He gives His angels charge over us to keep us safe! In order to receive this blessing one must appropriate the promises into their lives by taking Him at His word. Years ago, man's word was his bond, a promise to keep without the need of a written contract, but as time passed man no longer kept his word but God always keeps His promises, and they are also written for us to take advantage of!
So, you may ask if this is true why are we sick, oppressed, broke, busted and disgusted? The answer for the believer is, God has given us authority over the powers of darkness and the power of the Holy Spirit to heal the sick! We are given His last will and testament that gives us power of attorney to do those things that Jesus promised we would do, even greater works than He did.
In their hands (the angels) they shall bear you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone. You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra, the young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot. Psalm 91:12,13
