"For the kingdom of Heaven is like a man traveling to a far country, who called his own servants and delivered his goods to them. "And to one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, to each according to his own ability; and immediately he went on a journey." Matthew 25:14,15

This parable is about the Lord Jesus Christ and that which He has given to us His servants to multiply! To each of us He has given gifts, abilities and callings to not only manifest in the earth but to multiply by giving out to others by the laying on of hands, and the preaching of His gospel!

A talent of gold weighs approximately 59 pounds and at today's price at over $2000.00 per ounce we are talking a considerable amount of money even for the one who was given one talent! The parable wasn't talking about money but about gifts and callings. It is amazing all the talent in the world even in the church but very little is committed to God! Many of the Christian artists have gone after notoriety and riches. even some preachers and teachers.

The man who received five talents went and invested it as did the one who had two talents but the one who had only one talent hid it in the ground because of fear! When their master returned, he rewarded the two who invested in the kingdom but to the one who hid his talent the master was furious and had his servant cast into Hell! Are you investing in the kingdom, or have you hidden what God has given you? Your eternal destination could be determined by your decision!

"For to everyone who has more will be given, and he will have an abundance; but from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away. 'And cast the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.' " Matthew 25:29,30
