He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might, He increases strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall. Isaiah 40:29,30
He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might, He increases strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall. Isaiah 40:29,30
God told the apostle Paul that upon asking for a thorn in his flesh to be removed God said to him, "My grace is sufficient, for My strength is made perfect in weakness." So, when we are weak God makes us strong!
When young David, a puny runt came out against Goliath the giant who was heavily armed and trained from his youth in battle it seemed to be game over. If not for the power and might of God David would have been killed. As Goliath advanced and hurled abuse and accusations at the boy, David took up five stones, one for the giant and one for each of his brothers! That's faith!
Being skilled with a sling even though the Holy Spirit would guide the stone, he let it fly right into the giant's forehead. Victory! David took Goliath's sword and cut off his head and Israel had a great victory over the Philistines! Though David was weak God made him strong.
But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they mount up with wings of eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31
