Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if teaching let him teach.Romans 12:6,7
The gift of teaching is a very special gift given to those who will share it with others and God will multiply the revelation back to them. I wish I could boast in my own ability as a teacher and writer of God's word and wisdom, but it is not mine to give but the Holy Spirit's!
I have known some excellent teachers in my time, Bob Phillips, Associate Pastor with David Wilkerson at Times Square Church was one of the best I have ever heard, he was well read and studied but the key to his gift was the anointing of the Holy Spirit. Anyone can attempt to teach but without the anointing to do so it is to no avail! My own Pastor, Jesse McElreath was another who taught me how to study and journal what God was giving me.
Probably the most unlikely teacher was an old carpet cleaner named Milt Green, quirky and uneducated he was taught by the Holy Spirit and ended up having seminars around the country teaching deliverance and healing to thousands! All of these men have gone on to be with Jesus, but their legacy of teaching continues. I Praise God for the valuable lessons I learned from them.
And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also. II Timothy 2:2
