O house of Jacob, come and let us walk in the light of the LORD. For You have forsaken Your people, the house of Jacob, because they are filled with eastern ways; they are soothsayers like the Philistines, and they are pleased with the children of foreigners. Their land is also full of silver and gold, and there is no end to their treasures; their land is also full of horses, and there is no end to their chariots. Isaiah 2:5-7
Isaiah was prophesying of the latter days, in which His people were consumed with endless pleasures and the worship of their own hands, not to mention their lust for things! We are living in dangerous times as we approach the coming of our Lord!
Like the days of Noah, they were eating and drinking, marrying and living like there was no tomorrow! But when it began to sprinkle, they mocked this crazy old man and his boat, until all hell broke loose, and God closed the door! This is a time when God will say, "Enough!" And the door to eternal life will close as we are caught up to meet the Lord!
There has been disaster upon disaster around the world: dangerous storms, fires, earthquakes, and mudslides! Thousands killed and even more missing, buried under debris or swept away in the floods. NOW is the time to repent and submit to the Holy Spirit's leading before it's too late!
Their land is also full of idols; they worship the work of their own hands, that which their own fingers have made. People bow down, and each man humbles himself; therefore, do not forgive them. Isaiah 2:8-9
