When Joseph had taken the body, he wrapped it in a clean linen cloth and laid it in his new tomb which he had hewn out of the rock, and he rolled a large stone against the door of the tomb and departed. Matthew 27:59,60

When Joseph had taken the body, he wrapped it in a clean linen cloth and laid it in his new tomb which he had hewn out of the rock, and he rolled a large stone against the door of the tomb and departed. Matthew 27:59,60

The devil was ecstatic, his adversary was dead and buried, the kingdom was his or so he thought, but he was in for a big surprise. Jesus was going to rise from the dead and defeat the powers of darkness forever and establish His kingdom here on earth!

No grave could hold Him down when the Holy Spirit empowered Him and regenerated His body to rise from the dead to live forevermore! The greatest miracle in the history of the worldvalidated the King of all kings and established His kingdom in the earth. No other deity or worldly god would have resurrection power, only the Lord Jesus Christ!

After the Sabbath day on the first day of the week Mary Madalene came to the tomb with the other Mary and behold there was a great earthquake and an angel of the Lord descended from Heaven and came and rolled back the stone from the door and sat on it and his countenance was like lightning and his clothing as white as snow.

The angel spoke to the women, do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here, for He is risen, as He said. Come see the place where the Lord lay. Matthew 28:5,6
