I will love You, O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my strength, in whom will trust, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I will call upon the Lord who is worthy to be praised; so shall I be saved from my enemies. Psalm 18:1-3

David, from his youth was delivered countless times from his enemies, from the giant, Goliath, from the Philistines, from his father-in-law, Saul and even his own son! His life was a testimony of God's goodness, grace and mercy!
In my 44-year journey with Jesus God has delivered me many times, sometimes even from my own flesh! When we were young, we did many stupid things, but God in His mercy even protected us from ourselves before we were saved. One day when I was about 13-14, I was riding my motorcycle and speeding down the road when I ran an intersection and hit a car broadside just in front of the windshield.
A split second can make a world of difference, even life and death. I flew through the windshield of my bike, bounced on the hood and hit the pavement holding out my left arm which broke on impact! Just a few seconds slower and I would have hit the post and would have broken my neck! Cut by the windshield, arm broken, and bleeding but alive! Praise be to God!
The pangs of death surrounded me, and the floods of ungodliness made me afraid. The sorrows of Sheol surrounded me; the snares of death confronted me. In my distress I called upon the Lord and cried out to my God; He heard my voice from His temple, and my cry came before Him, even to His ears. Psalm 18:4-6
