There is a generation that curses its father and does not bless its mother. There is a generation that is pure in its own eyes, yet is not washed from its filthiness. There is a generation—oh, how lofty are their eyes! And their eyelids are lifted up. Proverbs 30:11-13
There is a generation that curses its father and does not bless its mother. There is a generation that is pure in its own eyes, yet is not washed from its filthiness. There is a generation—oh, how lofty are their eyes! And their eyelids are lifted up. Proverbs 30:11-13
Children used to be respectful to their elders and mostly well behaved back in the fifties. The reason was discipline; they were brought up to behave or else, they got a spanking, or if they were in high school, they got an old-fashioned butt whipping by a coach or a principal.
As time progressed and many families had both parents working, kids were left to their own devices. As the old saying states, "An idle mind is the devil's workshop!" Rock and Roll was another factor that promoted rebellion and disrespect for parents. Today's music is even worse, loaded with sex and abuse, even murder and rape!
The devil has overtaken generations of young people, poisoning their minds and filling them with hate for anything good. The only hope for this generation is a Holy Spirit revival that will convict them of sin and transform them into men and women of God!
There is a generation whose teeth are like swords, and whose fangs are like knives, to devour the poor from off the earth, and the needy from among men. Proverbs 30:14
