I don't think I have fallen seven times, but I admit I have fallen, as many of us have. We are not perfect, and we are susceptible to temptation, and that is not an excuse; it's just truth! Almost every man in this Bible has fallen, including multiple pastors and ministers of today!
It all began with Adam, God's first son, and his only position: take care of the tree but don't eat its fruit! Well, we all know the outcome of that: Satan landed in the garden and deceived their pants off, or should I say deceived their pants on because they were naked! We have all sinned: Noah, Abraham, Samson, David in the Old Testament, and Peter, Paul, and Judas who followed Jesus and sold Him out and many more!
The good news about falling is we rise again! God is a loving God who gives us grace and mercy to overcome that which caused our fall, and He allows our sin to teach and train us in righteousness. Although God is God of judgment, He is also a God of mercy!
Do not fret because of evildoers, nor be envious of the wicked; For there will be no prospect for the evil man; the lamp of the wicked will be put out. Proverbs 24:19-20
