"Therefore, let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ." Now when they heard this they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, "Men and brethren what shall we do?" Then Peter said to them, "Repent and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit." Acts 2:36-38

The result of the disciples moving out in the streets speaking in tongues to those from out of town would render their first harvest of souls. The church didn't sit there and talk about this new gift they went out obeying the great commission immediately!

Peter stood up and preached Jesus and blamed His crucifixion on those who were listening! There was no sugar-coated Message to caudle the crowd, there was a hard nail of truth driven into their hearts that brought about repentance! He didn't lead them in the "Sinner's Prayer,"he gave them an ultimatum to repent or else!

Today we live in a world of sin and perversion with a luke-warm church that promotes peace and safety rather than repentance and deliverance. If the apostle Peter would walk into many of our church services, he would be appalled! When was the last time you witnessed 3000 people repent and get saved, or even one lost soul?

Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them. Acts 2:41
