Stephen had just preached a scalding message to the religious crowd who were cut to the heart and gnashed their teeth at him! Then they cried out with a loud voice, stopped their ears, and ran at him with one accord to stone him!
Where are the Stephens who will preach the truth willing to lose their lives for Jesus? We are approaching a time when we will be attacked for our faith and for the messages we preach! Other countries are already killing men and women for their faith and that will increase here in the US as we enter the end times!
As they were stoning Stephen, the future apostle Paul was standing there watching, unbeknownst that his future would drastically change soon and God would use him mightily! He would be the Master builder and architect for the new Gentile church.
And they stoned Stephen as he was calling on God and saying, "Lord Jesus, receive my spirit." Then he knelt down and cried out with a loud voice, "Lord, do not charge them with this sin." And when he said this, he fell asleep. Acts 7:59,60
