For we are members of His body, of His flesh, and of His bones. "For this reason, a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh." This is a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ and His church. Ephesians 5:30-32

For we are members of His body, of His flesh, and of His bones. "For this reason, a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh." This is a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ and His church. Ephesians 5:30-32

A marriage is consummated by intercourse which joins us together as one, and we make a vow to one another with these two heart-led and heart-felt words, "I do!" In the same way, we make a vow to God for His mercy, grace, and salvation freely given, through the sacrifice of His only begotten Son!

In the Spirit, we are joined to our heavenly Husband Jesus, and we become One with Him! Our intimacy comes from our time in prayer and intercession. As the wife of the King, we can birth children by sowing the seed of the Word of God, thus many become born-again new creations in Christ.

Our assemblies are meant for koinonia: fellowship, communion, and intimacy in the Spirit with the Husband of the Bride of Christ. The Bride of Christ is in essence the wife of God, the mother of the spiritual children of the Lord Jesus Christ.

So, husbands ought to love their own wives as their own bodies; he who loves his wife loves himself. For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as the Lord does the church. Ephesians 5:28,29
