Blessed is the man whose strength is in You, whose heart is set on pilgrimage. Psalm 84:5
Blessed is the man whose strength is in You, whose heart is set on pilgrimage. Psalm 84:5
One definition of pilgrimage is: "The course of life on earth." In other words, a life sacrificed to follow Jesus instead of setting one's own course! Believers are all called to lose their lives for the One who gave His life for us!
Once the Holy Spirit enters His new domain (an area or territory owned or controlled), He sets sail in us on a journey of discipleship and supernatural works! No longer living for ourselves, we traverse the land that He desires to transform by the power of His might and bring about revival and renewal to those whom His Spirit touches.
So, Pilgrim, as the Duke would have said, where are you led to go, and what is your pilgrimage with Jesus? We are not called to sit; we are commissioned to GO! May God bless your journey and anoint your works as you travel the narrow roads of this life!
For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of wickedness. For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord will give grace and glory; no good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly. O Lord of hosts, blessed is the man who trusts in You! Psalm 84:10-12
