My son, give attention to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. do not let them depart from your eyes; keep them in the midst of your heart, for they are life to those who find them, and health to all their flesh. Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life. Put away from you a deceitful mouth and put perverse lips far from you. Proverbs 4:20-24

The word of God is food for the believer that feeds his spirit and gives life and health to his body. This Divine treasure is kept in our hearts, and from it we feed others the gifts and miracles of God's grace.
Keeping our eyes straight ahead means not looking at those things that will draw us away from God. Ponder (To consider or think about the decision of your direction) the path you are about to traverse, for there are many detours, and a wrong decision could be fatal.
We as believers are to be led by the Holy Spirit, who will not lead us in the wrong direction, always showing us the narrow path that leads to life and blessing. Listen carefully to that still small voice, your Divine GPS.
Let your eyes look straight ahead, and your eyelids look right before you. Ponder the path of your feet and let all your ways be established. Do not turn to the right or the left; remove your foot from evil. Proverbs 4:25-27
