You whom I have taken from the ends of the earth, and called from its farthest regions, and said to you, 'You are My servant, I have chosen you and have not cast you away.' Isaiah 41:9

The first half of my journey was a mountaintop experience full of joy, peace, miracles and glory! The second half, not so much! I had achieved what I had set out to do and had a residential ministry, a church and God's blessings were on me, but then I went through a divorce and the ministry crashed into dust and I took up a bottle and believed God was through with me!
Many times, we don't realize what we have until we lose it, and I was beginning to see what all I had lost! My testimony, my reputation and many of my friends were all gone but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother! Jesus will never leave us! If we could only see what God's plans are for us and realize He sees us in our future state and not in our worse condition, we would be able to overcome many of the things that tend to defeat us!
In my deepest despair and loneliness, thinking it was over the Lord called me to the county jail, deserving to be an inmate, but instead making me a volunteer chaplain I spent several years ministering, preaching and praying for those who also thought it was over! Praise God, His mercy endures forever!
Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10
