The scripture says that we can know that we know God and that He abides in us by the Holy Spirit who indwells us! There are many who are not sure they are saved for various reasons, and they are normally miserable, never at peace within themselves!
If a man truly surrenders himself, repents of his sins and confesses Jesus as His Lord, God promises he will be saved. At this point the Holy Spirit enters our spirit and begins the transformation process turning us into children of God! When the Spirit of God lives within us, we know it because of His presence.
Are you born again? Have you trusted the Savior? Are you baptized in the Holy Spirit? If the answer to these questions is yes, you are saved and sealed unto redemption! If the answer is no, then cry out to God for mercy and repent and ask Him to forgive you and cleanse you with the precious blood of Jesus!
Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. I John 4:15
